Mercer, Partner and Global M&A Business Leader

Jeff Black is a Partner at Mercer and heads the Global Mergers & Acquisition Advisory Services business.

With almost 30 years of experience, Jeff is a trusted advisor who provides strategic and financial advice to buyers and sellers on various global people risks. He leads an award-winning M&A team that supports Corporate and Private Equity clients throughout the entire deal lifecycle.

Jeff's expertise includes commercial due diligence, organization design, leadership development, change management, culture risk mitigation, benefits pooling and financing, and salesforce effectiveness.

He is recognized as a top M&A consultant and leader, frequently speaking on M&A people risks and publishing thought leadership on critical topics in industry journals.

Eugene Lim

Marsh, HEAD OF TAX RISK, ASIA

Since joining Marsh, as the head of Marsh’s tax insurance practice in Asia, Eugene has placed tax liability insurance covering tax risks in various jurisdictions (including Japan, Singapore, Korea and Germany etc.).  

Prior to joining Marsh, Eugene was a senior tax manager under the real estate and hospitality practice in PwC Singapore. In addition, Eugene was also part of the stamp duty team and advises client on Singapore stamp duty implications (including Additional Conveyance Duties) relating to real estate transactions. 

Throughout his career, Eugene has been engaged in various M&A projects involving Singapore, Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, and Australia real estate and has experience in advising on the tax implications arising from such transactions.
