As Chief Strategy Officer, Wayne Vergano is responsible for identifying, growing and leveraging opportunities for growth, expansion and innovation for the Marsh Pacific business.

Wayne is a member of the Marsh Pacific Executive Committee, the Marsh Pacific Risk and Compliance Committee, and Marsh McLennan’s Board of Directors for Australia, Papua New Guinea and Fiji.

In addition, he is a member of the Regional Business Council and Public Officer for the Marsh Mercer Holdings’ consolidated tax group in Australia.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the financial services sector, Wayne’s deep expertise and leadership has been critical in steering Marsh towards a sustainable future, laying a foundation that enables teams to confidently support clients and communities to succeed and thrive. He has also been instrumental in implementing numerous efficiencies in the business, including automating the receipt process throughout Australia.

Wayne joined Marsh in 1990 and assumed senior roles as Tax Lead and Financial Controller in Australia, before becoming Chief Financial Officer for 12 years. Prior to Marsh, he held positions in financial services roles in the stockbroking industry and public service.

Wayne lives and works in Sydney, Gadigal land.
