As Head of Global Placement, Scott Eccleston is responsible for overseeing Marsh Pacific’s global placement strategy, working with colleagues across the world to secure the best insurance solutions for Marsh’s wide range of clients. He is also a member of the Marsh Pacific Executive Committee, and a Fellow of the Australian Insurance Institute.

Highly respected and having gained the confidence of his industry peers, Scott has forged solid relationships with underwriters across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, and has used his expertise and leadership to navigate and negotiate complex insurance programs for Marsh’s clients.

Scott has more than 30 years’ experience in the insurance and risk management industry. Commencing his career as a cadet with Marsh, he had the opportunity to work across a broad range of specialty divisions including property, construction, mining and placement. For a period, he also worked for Rio Tinto and Aon. In 2016, Scott returned to Marsh, where he has since held several senior positions in the placement division of the business.

Scott lives and works in Melbourne, Wurundjeri land.
