Josh Roach
President, Marsh Pacific Chairman, Marsh Fiji
As the President of Marsh Pacific, Josh Roach is responsible for leading more than 2,500 Marsh colleagues across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea, and oversees the growth and strategy of Marsh in the Pacific. He is also Chairman of Marsh Fiji.
Josh joined Marsh in 2009, and has since held a number of executive roles in Hong Kong, London, Australia and New Zealand. He has been a driving force behind leading Marsh’s client-centric culture, business transformation and growth over the years. His contributions have included establishing Marsh’s Private Equity and Mergers and Acquisitions (PEMA) practice, and introducing warranty and indemnity insurance to support and facilitate key transactions for M&A clients in Asia.
Leading up to his role as President, Josh was the CEO of Marsh McLennan and the President of Marsh for New Zealand. Prior to this Josh was Managing Director and Head of Marsh Specialty for the Pacific region, where he led a number of practices including Energy and Power, Financial and Professional Risk, Cyber, Private Equity and M&A, Credit Specialties, Aviation and Aerospace, and Marine and Construction.
Josh’s broad experience spans more than 20 years and includes senior roles in mergers and acquisitions for multinational risk company Willis Towers Watson, as well as civil engineering where he began his career.
From January 2024, Josh will take up the role of President of Marsh Pacific, and will be relocating back to Sydney, Australia.
