Meet Rajini

I am part of the Risk Management team and head the Financial Institutions (FI) segment. The team's goal is to tap into the broader opportunities within the FI segment, such as trade credit, retail, or banca products, in addition to our financial and professional offerings, like directors and officers liability, professional indemnity, and crime insurance.

What does a typical workday look like for you?

My main focus is to grow the FI segment in addition to servicing the current book of business secured in the past year. Currently, I spend most of my time trying to develop and expand connections within the FI segment to create new opportunities and broaden business opportunities.

As a seasoned insurance industry professional, what drew you to Marsh?

In my discussions during the hiring process, what drew my attention and interest was the clarity with which Marsh operates, as well as the opportunities presented to all employees to be enterprising. Having been at Marsh for more than a year now, it's the continued innovation and the broad spectrum of services we can offer the clients that truly differentiates us. In addition, the collaboration among colleagues across geographies and entities is a key factor in our growth.

What do you do to make others feel included and create an environment of belonging?

Building relationships by having a genuine interest in our colleagues and their well-being is always important. In my experience with managing teams and working collaboratively with clients and business partners, I've found that taking an interest in not only our colleagues but their families helps in building stronger relationships. This, in turn, creates a sense of belonging.

Tell us something important about your family or background that helped form the person and colleague you are today.

As a mother of two young men, I believe I have a deep understanding of the complex role faced by women and mothers in balancing their roles in the home and the workplace. This allows me to be empathetic and understanding of my colleagues' circumstances.
