Discover complex hull and liability coverage for your aircraft. This coverage is designed for Canadian aircraft owners who are looking for a broad and cost-effective plan that provides coverage for your aircraft in flight, in motion, and on the ground.

Aircraft hull & liability (GoldWings) coverage applies to Canadian-registered aircraft with a permissible maximum take-off weight of 5,670 kg (12,500 lbs.) with a maximum of seven (7) passenger seats (excluding the pilot seat).

Included coverages

Aircraft hull protection

This covers physical damage to your aircraft, whether it's in motion or stationary, along with loss and theft. Coverage is available up to $1.5 million for both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters.

Aircraft liability

This covers third-party property damage and bodily injury legal liability. You have the option to either include or exclude passengers from your policy, both up to a maximum limit of $10 million

Aircraft hull & liability (GoldWings) does not cover aircraft classified as basic ultralights, balloons, gliders, hang-gliders, airships, paragliders, hovercraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, and very light jets.

This coverage benefits Canadians who own aircraft for private business and pleasure and:

  • Wish to insure it for hull all risks flight and ground coverage.
  • Want third-party property damage and bodily injury legal liability that follows the aircraft.
  • Would like the flexibility to add multiple approved pilots to their policy.

To qualify for coverage, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Your primary residence must be in Canada.
  2. Your aircraft must be privately registered and intended for private business and pleasure only.
  3. The aircraft must not exceed a maximum seating capacity of seven passengers, excluding the pilot.
  4. Pilots must hold the appropriate licence or permit for the aircraft they are operating.

Yes, MarshWings aircraft hull & liability coverage is not available for basic ultralights, balloons, gliders, hang-gliders, airships, paragliders, hovercraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, and very light jets.

Additionally, it excludes aircraft that fall into the following categories:

  • Foreign-registered aircraft
  • Commercially registered aircraft, unless rented or borrowed for private business or pleasure use only
  • Aircraft with more than seven passenger seats
  • Aircraft with a hull value of more than $1,500,000
  • Aircraft with a permissible takeoff weight of more than 5,670 kilograms (12,500 pounds)
  • Warbirds (i.e., ex-military aircraft)
