Promoting holistic well-being at all levels of the organization for a happier, healthier, and more productive workforce
The health and well-being of your workforce is critical to the success of the business. What’s more, when employees have access to a wide range of benefits, they tend to be healthier, more productive, and more loyal.
Mercer Marsh Benefits’ Health on Demand survey 2021 found that employees with the most varied well-being resources are 35 percentage points less likely to move elsewhere, 27 percentage points more confident they can get the healthcare they need, and 11 percentage points more energized in the workplace.
So how can you ensure your corporate wellness program is holistic and meets the needs of your workforce?
It’s important to address the four main parts of well-being:
- Physical health: Employers that proactively mitigate health issues through targeted interventions drive positive business outcomes.
- Mental well-being: 42% of employees say quality mental health support is difficult to find or access. Employers can help — and our research shows it will mean a lot to the workforce if they do.
- Financial wellness: 49% of employees would highly value access to financial wellness and financial planning tools.
- Social well-being: One-in-two employees say they want resources to assist with caregiving for children, parents, or other adults.
