As community sector specialists, we engage on a regular basis with insurers who support faith-based organisations by forging strong relationships with the ‘traditional’ insurance as well as ‘non-traditional’ insurers in Australia, and overseas insurers in the UK and US.

We recognise that clients in the Community Care space face an increasingly complex legal and operational landscape. This has been brought into focus by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse as well as the more recent Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety and the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability. As a result of our involvement with wider industry networks, we are well placed to showcase the risk management work undertaken by various groups to the wider insurance market.

Faith-based organisations face specific impacts including falling congregation numbers, corresponding lower donation income, the need to remain current to changing social spiritual practices and beliefs, all of which present risks to the viability of churches in the long term. As a result, we understand faith-based organisations will need to reimagine accommodating changing social needs in a better way.

Mission, parachurch and wider care organisations face growing exposure as the governmental focus on home care, mission outreach, transparency of use of donations, and technology risks (app and technology platforms) is increasingly becoming the norm.

We walk closely alongside our community clients by designing risk and insurance solutions which support their vitality and viability as they navigate these challenges.
